Bill Dorrance: We're down to one Focus, which we just got off the truck. We have one Fusion left that works for the program and we have three or four Escapes and that's about it. Carolyn Wyllie: It's something dealers haven't faced for a long time. More demand than there is supply. Bill Dorrance: So, we've got vehicles in the pipeline that will come that's going to be a little bit of the slower process than what we've experienced over the last week. Carolyn Wyllie: Even though it looks like the Senate is on track to approve the additional funding, it now could be a few weeks before consumers have cars to choose from. At Galesburg Ford it will be about two weeks before any new Focuses come in. Still if you're interested, they'd be happy to put your order in. The Wall Street Journal reports Ford is running low on both the Focus and the Escape. Those are among the top clunker program sellers. Chrysler inventories are low because of temporary shut downs over the summer. It's changed some of its matching incentive plans because of the speedy sales. As for who's buying all the cars, they are some of the states who are hurting most. Michigan tops the list with $34.4 million in dealer requests. Ohio is number two on the list with 29 million in request and California car buyers put that state at number three. Dealers tell us the mad rush is over, but they're hoping additional money will keep sales steady. Bill Dorrance: I think it's going to slow down. Carolyn Wyllie: The Senate is set to vote by Friday.
